Achill island is expecting an influx of visitors this weekend as runners and their supporters arrive for the annual Achill Half Marathon and 10k.

The popular sporting event tomorrow (Sat) has attracted 1400 entries this year.

The entire community is involved in the major event, involving organisers, volunteers, stewards and others.
