Met Éireann says June 2023 will be recorded as the hottest on record.

Provisional data shows Ireland has experienced its first June with 16+ degrees average temperatures.

That exceeds the previous June record which was held for 83 years.

The highest temperature of the year so far was Tuesday, June 13th, with a temperature of 28.8 degrees recorded in Oak Park, Co Carlow.
