James Hopkins from Drummin, Westport won the World Sheep Shearing Championships over the weekend.

He won this prestigious world title where 53 different countries competed in Scotland.

Peter Heraty, also from Westport, finished fourth in the Championships.

There will be a homecoming this afternoon for James and his flight is expected into Ireland West Airport, Knock at 11:00am this morning.
