
1 in 4 Mayo people believe artificial intelligence will impact or replace their jobs in the future.
That’s according to a new survey conducted by FRS Recruitment, which is one of Ireland’s largest recruitment agencies.
The national average represents 26% of the population that show the same view as those in Mayo, with Mayo’s figure at 23%.
The survey also found that 7 out of 10 people in Mayo (71%) would move jobs for a salary increase of 25% or less, while most (58%) feel their salary does not fairly reflect their current position.
A significant majority of people in Mayo (68%) also expect to receive a pay rise in the next 12 months.
Six out of 10 people across the county (61%) believe they are more likely to progress in their career by changing jobs than by staying with their employer and 7 out of 8 (87%) believe they could secure a new job in 3 months or less.
Over half of Mayo people (52%) also believe there are more job opportunities available in 2023.
23% of people in Mayo fear for their job security, while 35% would consider a pay cut if their job was at risk.
