The funeral will take place today of the pedestrian who died following a road collision in Bonniconlon on Saturday morning last.

The man who died, who was aged in his forties, has been named as Radley Searle, of 8 Oakwood Drive, Ballina, and formerly of Carrick-on-Shannon

The collision between an articulated lorry and the pedestrian occurred at 7.40am at Knockroe, Bonniconlon.

The injured man was removed from the scene to Mayo University Hospital, where he died later that day.

He is survived by children Alvin & Fionn, his partner Anne Kilbane, and parents Radley & Maria.

Mr Searle’s funeral will arrive to Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan on Sunday at 12.30pm for committal service.
