The Irish Embassy in Brussels launched the Brussels branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann this morning.

Kate Heneghan, the Mayo Rose for 2023, and her family were the special guests at the event.

Kate and her family got to perform many pieces including an O’Carolan presentation, a singing session, a céilí beag as well as a traditional music session.

This year’s Rose of Tralee competition takes place from Friday August 18 to Tuesday August 22.

Kate Heneghan, who represented Midwest Radio in the Mayo Rose competition, will be the Mayo Rose for this year’s competition.
