The road between Bunnacurry and Keel in Achill continues to be closed this morning to traffic.

However, it is expected to open later this morning.

The road was closed yesterday evening following a road collision between a motorbike and a car.

 The motorcyclist was taken from the scene to Mayo University Hospital where he remains today.

The family travelling in the car were not injured.

Traffic diversions are in place.
