A letter will be handed to Dublin's Lord Mayor today, calling for a memorial for Savita Halappanavar.

Salvita died from sepsis at University Hospital Galway in 2012 after her request for an abortion was denied.

A group which worked to Repeal the 8th says the statue or piece of art will be a permanent reminder.
