A Mayo deputy says more needs to be done in the Defective Concrete Block Scheme for homeowners in the county.

€40 million was allocated for the scheme in 2022 but only €9 million was paid out due to approval delays.

Fine Gael TD Alan Dillon raised the issue at a meeting of the public accounts committee, and asked what has led to such a delay in approvals.
