Sligo University Hospital has the highest number of patients nationally on trolleys today waiting for admission. According to the latest trolley watch figures from the INMO there are 49 patients on trolleys waiting for beds at the Sligo hospital.

There are long waits for patients presenting at hospital emergency departments across the region today, with 31 patients on trolleys at Mayo University Hospital, 30 patients waiting for admission to Galway University Hospital and 15 patients on trolleys at Portiuncula University Hospital.

Nationally, 444 patients are on trolleys awaiting hospital admissions today.
