Retained firefighters in Tramore, Co. Waterford met Minister Darragh O'Brien today.

The Minister for Housing was attending the new opening of 27 houses.

On Facebook, the NRFA said the Minister "supports us and hopes for some positive outcomes over the weekend".

On-call firefighters across half of Ireland's stations are currently carrying out rolling strikes in a dispute over pay and conditions - with the threat of all out strike by Tuesday if a resolution isn't found.
