Emergency services are at the scene of a "serious incident" in Ballasadare, County Sligo.

Irish Rail says it's halted its train from Dublin to Sligo.

The latest update says an ambulance is onsite.

Virgin Media News are reporting two girls were struck by a train this evening travelling to Connolly.

Rail passengers will be accommodated with bus transfers between Boyle and Sligo for the time being.
