An Gardai Síochána attended a road traffic collision this afternoon on the N5 between Kilkelly and Kiltimagh.

One man has been brought to hospital following the collision of an articulated vehicle and a car.

The extents of the man’s injuries are unknown.

The collision occurred just before 1:00PM today, and the road has since been closed.

Mayo County Council have confirmed that all traffic will be diverted through Swinford town.

Gardaí as well as the fire and ambulance services attended the scene.
