
Minister for Agriculture Charlie McConalogue will visit County Mayo today for a public consultation.
He will meet with Minister Dara Calleary as well as Senator Lisa Chambers, and the event takes place at 8.00PM in the Merry Monk.
Minister McConalogue believes this is an opportunity for members of the public including farmers to have their voices heard.
He said that given the recent development of hubs in rural Ireland there is now greater opportunities for such regions.
Speaking on the Tommy Marren show this morning, Minister McConalogue was asked if he believes farmers are willing to change as well provided that they are compensated:
