
Additional accommodation has been announced for two Special Education schools in Castlebar - St Brid's and St Anthony's.
This comes as there is a shortage of Special Education places in the town.
Two modular classrooms have been approved for St Brid's and one for St Anthony's.
Back in January, the announcement was made for the commencement of the procurement process for a design team to be put in place for St Brid's school after a visit of Minister for Special Education Josepha Madigan.
Eight new classrooms were also announced at the time for St Brid's.
