Prescriptions will soon be made available through a barcode system - modelled on the Covid-19 vaccine cert.

According to the Irish Independent, Minister of State Ossian Smyth hopes the new technology will be in place by the end of this year.

The move will see people able to access their prescriptions on their phone, tablet or laptop.
