
There is massive relief in the home of the McLoughlin’s in Ballindine today.
Catherine and John McLoughlin’s daughter Cathy, her husband Rami and their two young boys Loughlin and Liam have safely returned to the family home in Ballindine from warn torn Sudan.
They are four of the fortunate Irish citizens that have been successfully evacuated from the chaos, as the two warring factions have agreed overnight to extend a ceasefire for an additional three days.
Just over 100 Irish citizens remain stranded in the country, with efforts continuing to evacuate them.
Catherine has been highlighting the plight of her family since the war broke out over a the past number of days and has been awaiting in trepidation for days now to hear of their safe return to Ireland.
The family arrived in Ballindine late last night and are this lunchtime down at the local NS enrolling the two children to start school on Tuesday next.
