Gardaí attended the scene of a two-vehicle road traffic collision which occurred on the N59 in Leenane, Co. Galway yesterday afternoon.

Six persons were taken to hospital to be treated for their injuries.

The road, which was closed for a time, has since reopened.

Investigations are ongoing.
