A Mayo deputy has called for the Dail constituency to be reinstated.
Fine Gael TD Alan Dillon says that many people in South Mayo have been placed into the Galway Dail constituency.
He says it is of importance that the county boundary in Mayo be reinstated, and that South Mayo’s rights and identity be respected.
The establishment of the Electoral Commission, represents the most important reform of the electoral system in decades is currently running a consultation process on boundary changes for Dáil and European Constituencies, with submissions received up to May 10th next.
