Gardai attended the scene of a collision overnight between Bellacorrick and Bangor Erris.

The collision occurred before 11 o'clock last night at Ballymunnelly.

The road remains closed this morning and diversions are in place.

For those travelling from Ballina to Belmullet, Gardai are advising them to travel via Ballycastle.

Delays are expected and road users should allow additional travel time today in that area.
