President Joe Biden made a private visit to the Mayo Roscommon Hospice in Castlebar on Friday last.

Photographs of the historic visit to the facility, that the President had turned the first sod on, when he was the Vice President back in 2017, emerged yesterday in the Sunday papers.

Joe Biden, his sister Valerie, and his son Hunter, were seen emotionally looking at the plaque in place at the Mayo Hospice in memory of  his late son Beau who died in a US hospice.
