Farmers and landowners affected by the Shass Mountain landslide in County Leitrim are to receive compensation payments this week.

The landslide, which followed heavy rain, swept away the livelihoods of more than 20 farmers and up to eight foresters in June 2020.

Over 36 hectares of agriculture and forestry land were covered in tonnes of peat and vegetation.
