There are long waits for patients presenting at the Emergency Departments of hospitals across the region again today.

There are 43 patients on trolleys waiting for admission to University Hospital Galway, the third highest figure nationally, according to the latest INMO Trolley watch figures.

35 patients are waiting for admission to Sligo University Hospital, 26 patients on trolleys waiting for beds at Mayo University Hospital and 14 patients waiting for beds at Portiuncula University Hospital.

Nationally today there are 631 patients on trolleys waiting for hospital admissions, with the highest number again today at Limerick University Hospital, with 99 patients on trolleys.
