
More than 40 international protection applicants and refugees have taken up residence in Killala town.
The group, which includes 10 children, were transferred from a hotel in Killarney to the Old Deanery Cottages in Killala on Friday last and are originally from Eastern Europe, Western and Southern Africa, North Africa, Asia and South America
They have all been in Ireland for between 6 to 18 months.
The children will require school places locally.
