A new Chairperson of Moy Valley Resources (MVR), Ballina has been elected following the departure of long-serving Chairman, Denis Michael.

Board member David Dwane has been appointed to the position.

Moy Valley Resources is responsible for significant community development in the North Mayo and West Sligo region, with almost 60 people on the payroll. 

In addition, it provides enterprise, industrial and community space for over 50 tenants across its five properties in Ballina.

David Dwane joined the board of MVR in 2019, and has also been involved with other local community organisations in the past, including Ballina Chamber of Commerce and Ballina Scout Unit. He is currently Vice-Chairperson of Ballina Credit Union.

He is well-known in the music industry, both as a teacher, promoter and writer.
