A former councillor says older people are becoming more stressed about being able to pay their bills.

Harry Barrett says he has received a call from an elderly man who had one of his electricity bills increased by almost €400 and was concerned if this was going to continue.

Mr Barrett says the Government will need to bring in some regulations surrounding windfall taxes and other measures to ensure this doesn't become a regular occurrence.
