Irish water need to provide details and dates on when it intends to upgrade defective pipes on the Bonniconlon to Ballina road and the reservoir in Bonniconlon.

That’s the view of Bonniconlon based councillor John O’Hara.

 The Fine Gael councillor proposed a motion for action at the monthly meeting of Ballina Municipal District and it was supported by all councillors present.

The system, he explained was developed to accommodate 60 houses and today 500 homes are connected to the same inadequate system.
