Paul and Mary Grealish and the staff of The Kings Head in Galway are hosting an International Women's Day Lunch this March.

In hosting this event, they seek to support and amplify the voices of women in Africa, with all proceeds going to Self Help Africa.

Self Help Africa works with some of the continent’s poorest communities, providing women and families with the chance to produce more food, earn more from their farming activities and help mothers and fathers to provide a better life for their children.

Mary Sweeney, of Self Help Africa, will be one of the guest speakers at the event and will share her experiences in working with Women and Children’s projects in Africa over the past 30 years.

Tickets for the event which includes a three course meal are €40, with all proceeds going to the charity.

The event takes place on Wednesday March 8 from 12:30PM to 2:30P
