Over €2 million in once-off funding has been made available for 29  voluntary and community providers in Mayo.

That's according to Fine Gael TD Alan Dillon.

This comes as part of an €81 million fund nationally, announced by Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly, to groups under the Government's 'Inflation Fund, in order assist various sectors with costs related to energy inflation.

Deputy Dillon says all eligible organisations will receive letters from the HSE in coming days confirming the amount they will receive and the terms of the fund.
