A County Mayo spa has become the only one in Ireland to receive a Five-Star ranking from business magazine Forbes.

The Spa at Ashford Castle has received the maximum rating on the latest Forbes Travel Guide Ranking.

Ashford is now one of three five-star spas across Ireland and the UK.

Ashford Castle Hotel have also received accreditation from Forbes Travel Guide for the fourth year in a row.

Forbes Travel Guide is carried out by experts who rank each property against 900 rigorous standards.
