The two men aged in their 30s and 40s that were arrested as part of the search operation in Galway on Saturday 11th February, where €75,000 worth of drugs was seized, have been released without charge.

As part of Operation Tara, Gardaí attached to the Galway Divisional Drug Unit conducted searches at a number of residences in Ballinasloe and Oranmore on Saturday. The searches form part of an ongoing investigation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Galway Division.

During the course of the search, Gardaí seized quantities of cocaine, cannabis, MDMA, Ketamine and LSD with a combined value of approximately €75,000. Over €800 in cash was also seized. The drugs are now subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland (FSI).

A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
