
Chinese-made CCTV cameras installed in Leinster House could be reporting back to China and pose a security-risk.
The Irish Council for Civil Liberties has sent a letter to Government and opposition warning about Chinese-state backed video surveillance company Hikvision.
The ICCL says the cameras are positioned at locations where they can "capture video of TDs, Senators and staff, and their private conversations."
The UK, US and Denmark have already banned Hikvision's use, and the European Parliament removed the company's cameras in 2021.
