
Bookings on some flights to Ireland from the US have surged in recent days after the mandatory quarantine list was extended.
Arrivals from another 16 countries, including America, will have to stay in a designated hotel for two weeks starting on Thursday.
The Sunday Independent reports passenger bookings have more than trebled on flights from New York, Boston and Chicago since Friday's announcement.
