The number of patients with Covid-19 in public hospitals has reached its lowest point in 111 days, with 209 people receiving treatment last night.

Across the region there are nine patients with the virus at University Hospital Galway- down one, three at Mayo University Hospital- up three, two at Sligo Hospital- up one and one at the Portiuncula in Ballinasloe.

There are 53 patients with the disease are in ICU.

Of those, two are in Galway- down one, with one in Sligo.
