The 14-day incidence rate of Covid-19 in the Castlebar Local Electoral Area is above the national average of 157.1.

During the two week period from March 23^rd to April 5^th, a total of 57 new confirmed cases were registered in the area – equating to a rate of 190.1 cases per 100,000 people.  

All other electoral areas in Mayo have rates of infection below the national average.

Claremorris had a rate of 114.2, it was 69.4 in Swinford, 43.8 in Ballina, 43.5 in Westport and Belmullet had less than 5 cases per 100,000 people over the period.
