The annual commemoration of the 1916 Easter Rising will take place in Dublin today, led by President Michael D Higgins. 

There will be two non-public events - one at Áras an Uachtaráin and one at the GPO in O'Connell Street. 

For a second year, the event has been severely restricted because of Covid-19.
