Gardaí in Galway have seized €28,000 worth of drugs following a search operation at a property in the city yesterday.

Shortly after 2pm yesterday, Gardaí located €5,900 worth of cocaine on two persons at Presentation Road, Galway.

As a result, a follow up search was conducted at a property on the Headford Road, and cannabis with a value of €20,000, along with €2,100 worth of cocaine and €1,870 in cash was seized.

Two men, one in his 20s and the other in his teens, were arrested.

Both have since been released without charge with a file now being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

A male juvenile who was also arrested has been released for consideration of inclusion in the Juvenile Diversion Programme.

Investigations are ongoing.
