House prices in Mayo increased by 2% in the first quarter of this year, according to the latest Daft.ie house price report.

The average price of a home in Co Mayo is now €157,000.

This is significantly lower than the national average price of €276,000.

Nationally, house prices jumped by over 7% in the year to March, as supply has fallen by 34%.

Galway city saw an increase of almost 12% in house prices over the past year.
