A 19-year-old man was arrested by Gardaí following a drugs seizure in Claremorris over the weekend.

The discovery of cannabis worth in excess of €5,000 pending analysis was seized during a search of a car in the Claremorris area on Friday evening.

Enquires are ongoing.

Separately, small amounts of suspected controlled drugs were recovered by Gardaí during searches of locations in Claremorris also on Friday last.

No arrests were made and enquires are ongoing.
