A Garda Sergeant is to be appointed in Foxford.

Improvement works are also to be carried out to the local Garda Station in the town.

This development was confirmed at today’s County Joint Policing Committee.

Local councillor Neil Cruise says the news is welcome, as he had made strong representations on these issues and thanked Supt. Joe Doherty, Garda Pat Coleman, Garda Rebecca Fearon and Garda Sean Flynn for their ongoing assistance.
