A Stop/ Go traffic system is in place on a stretch of the N26 Ballina road outside Foxford, to allow for safety barriers to be installed along a stretch of the road.

That's according to Foxford-based Councillor Neil Cruise, who has welcomed the start of the safety works, as well as tree and bush-cutting along the N26.

Councillor Cruise told Midwest News that it's welcome news for motorists travelling between Foxford and Ballina.
