Gardaí are continuing their clampdown on organised crime and drug dealing throughout Sligo.

Gardai in Sligo conducted a number of searches in the Cranmore area of Sligo Town yesterday morning as part of an ongoing operation targeting organised crime gang activity across the Garda Division.

Drugs and a firearm were discovered during the course of these searches.

Investigations are ongoing.
