Gardai are investigating an act of vandalism at the grounds of Ballina Town FC.

 

The fence around the astroturf pitch in Belleek was damaged.

 

In a statement on Ballina Town FC’s Facebook Page they say “We understand lockdown is tough for everyone and nothing would be better than a good kickabout, but that doesn't give anyone the excuse to carry out such mindless vandalism.”

Secretary of the club, Cormac O'Malley told Midwest Sport that the incident has left a sour taste in the mouth.
