Gardaí stopped a car in Ballina on Friday evening, where approximately €1,000 worth of cannabis (pending analysis) was discovered in the vehicle.

A follow up search of a property in Corcoran Terrace resulted in the seizure of €17,000 in cash.

A female in her 30s was arrested in relation to this.

She has since been released without charge with a file now being prepared for the DPP.

Investigations are ongoing.
