One million euro in funding has been approved for a significant extension to Scoil Iosa National School in Ballyhaunis.

The Minister for Education Norma Foley has confirmed the development to Mayo deputy Dara Calleary.

The funding will provide for the construction of four additional mainstream classrooms, three SET rooms, two SEN classrooms and a toilet for assisted users.

Deputy Calleary says it’s very welcome news for students and staff in Scoil Iosa.
