One additional death has been confirmed this evening from Covid-19, with 686 new cases.

21 of the new cases are in Co Galway, with 19 in Mayo, 8 in Sligo, 7 in Roscommon and less than 5 in Co Leitrim.

Galway has recorded 848 new cases over the past fortnight, and now has the 3rd highest 14-day rate of the virus nationally, after Offaly and Dublin.
