Roadworks are taking place from today on the N60, both in Ballinlough village and in Castlerea town.

In Castlerea, the main road is closed between Clonalis and Hell's Kitchen corner - which is the junction with the Frenchpark road. and this closure will continue for the next 3 to 4 months to allow for the second phase of road restoration, after works on Main Street were carried out last year.

A Stop / Go system will be in place for traffic.

Similarly in Ballinlough, roadworks are taking place this week through the village, with a Stop / Go system in place.

The roadworks get underway on the same day that €19 million has been allocated for regional and local roads in Co Roscommon.
