The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has this evening been notified of 23 additional deaths related to Covid-19 in the Republic.

21 of these deaths occurred in February and two occurred in January.

As of midnight last night (Thurs) 921 new cases of the virus were confirmed nationally.

There were 32 new cases in Galway, 10 in Mayo, 5 in Leitrim and less than 5 cases in both counties Sligo and Roscommon.
