A community in Roscommon is being praised for rallying around the victim of a house fire.

74-year-old Tom Hill lost his home to a fire at the end of October.

Locals banded together to ensure the house was rebuilt in time for Christmas.

Tom says he thinks the world of his neighbours and friends.
