Chair of the Dáil Committee on Rural and Community Development, Denis Naughten TD, has confirmed the allocation of 805,000in transitional funding for the Roscommon LEADER Companies.He says that project approvals under this Transitional Programme will commence from 1st April 2021, but the local LEADER company can work on identifying potential projects from 1st January next.
Early in the New Year the Dáil's Rural and Community Development Committee will be hearing from representatives of the LEADER companies to see what additional supports are needed to ensure that adequate funding will be available to support rural areas from 2021 to 2023, Deputy Naughten explained.
